Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and in your personal iCloud (private CloudKit database) if iCloud sync is on. We run no server that holds your log, and we cannot read it. Details in the Privacy Policy.

How do I get my data out?

Settings → Export: a machine-readable CSV of your fuel and service history, or a formatted PDF service report you can hand to a mechanic or the next owner. Both are generated entirely on your device.

Can I bring history from another app?

Yes. Export a CSV from your current fuel-tracking app and open it in Carvico (Settings → Import). Fuelly, Drivvo, and Fuelio export formats are recognized, including unit and currency differences.

Do I need an account?

No. Logging, reminders, statistics, widgets, and export all work without one. Signing in (Apple or Google) exists to link a Pro purchase across devices and to enable AI receipt scanning.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete Account. This immediately removes your sign-in record and account data from our backend. Your vehicle records stay on your device, so delete the app and its iCloud data to remove those too.

Why didn't a reminder fire?

Time-based reminders use local notifications: check iOS Settings → Notifications → Carvico is allowed. Mileage-based reminders update when you log a fill-up or service with a newer odometer reading.

Restore a Pro purchase

Settings → the paywall screen → Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID that bought it. Still stuck? Email us with your purchase date.
